We took our Audi 2014 Q7DI there a few months back for a blue def issue after replacing one part and many call on our end to try and get updates. The first part was not the issue they need to change something else at more money. We came and picked up our car and it was good for a week . I then took it to Jim Ellis Audi and they flashed it with the proper computer and it was fine. Was told then most likely nothing was wrong with what was changed just need to be reset. We notified G2 of an after marked warranty they said they would file a clam but never heard any thing else.
Last Friday I took it back to G2 because it was tossing the Belt and had an oil leak coming from the top of the engine. I did my research and sent email before dropping car off to them and stated tossing belt and I thought /per google it was the upper Oil cooler. The changed an o ring on dip stick, belt and 3 pullies. I was on my way to get car and they said no its the Harmonic balancer it will be another $580 and won't be here till Tuesday. Called Tuesday am to see when part would be in and after many calls got Gary and he said 1 pm. At this time I was told they tried to get warranty to pay for it but warranty only covered major engine issues At 106 pm Got a call from other person and she said he would call me back there were other issues. She then called me back with in 10 mins later she said no on warranty. I called at 5 pm Gary said it would be ready by 530 so I gave him card number which he ran instantly. At 530 got call and said it was leaking some where else may be the top engine oil cooler as I sent in email before car was brought in. The next morning I called to get an exact price and Gary said he would charge $395 only parts but was going to try Insurance again and he would get $1600+ for doing the work. I was like get it done. I then Called Jim Ells and found out even thought I have 104K miles and a 2014 it under warranty. I then sent a tow truck to take it to Jim Ellis. Does this shop prides it self on its work? Maybe look at this from a Clients Side and Ask your self why have I changed my company name 3 or more times in a few years and why are my reviews so bad. Gary you owe me a refund!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tyler S.FL, FL01Feb 23, 2023
I brought my Mercedes in with a misfire having already done as much as i could with it, get there and a mechanic comes out telling me I need "different" NGK iridium plugs!? Not a thing. Then when I continued asking questions they got irritated and told me I didn't know what I was talking about because I was asking about there work...Shady. I would even go as far as to say they were intimidated by the fact I knew what I was talking about

I took my car in for a missing manifold plug. I declined all the variou work they wanted to do in addition to just this item that I needed.
When I sent someone to pick up the car they charged me for changing the oil when I said I would do it myself.
They wouldn't release the car without paying this extra which I never agreed to. I have transcripts of the cover mail I left them.
That is shady and not acceptable. I would never recommend and they will not get any of my future business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

so, I just purchased a used Jaguar just like the one i had several years ago. I was happy to be back in a car i enjoyed until....... After 1 week the suspension light came on. I researched shops and decided on G2. That was a very good choice!!! The entire team at G2 was amazing! Jana is a dream to deal with at the front desk. Gary, the owner is always available and willing to talk. I had a chance to speak with two of the technicians, Grant and Jon and both were more then willing to explain what they found and what repairs were needed. The entire team at G2 are honest and caring. In short order they repaired my car and got me back on the road. They may not be a "discount" shop but they are fair and get it right the first time! Thanks Gary and team!

I called this place twice to get an estimate on major work that needs to be done to my BMW. Twice they picked up and hung up, ok fine I'll go somewhere else and give them my business, not only with this car but about 15 others.

Around 10:15 I called for an appointment and was told by the owner (Gary). I explained after our good conversation that I will be traveling about an hour to get there. He said it is best to come at 1. You can be the first after lunch.
I come in 5 minutes early and the lady hidden behind the counter with a not so glad business was walking in attitude says we are busy, can I help you.
I explained I had an appointment. She said it could be 35 minutes, I said, I don't mind waiting.
She asked who I made the appointment with. I told her Gary. He said he was the owner------that really did me no good.
She then said this will take at least an hour or most likely longer before we can see your car.
Do you want to come back later.
If I lived next door I would come back.
I made an appointment and you had no clue who I was. Why did you ask me my name and give me an appointment.
Not good customer service. Can't tell you anything about their car service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maile K.Buford, GA8411Feb 28, 2017
This shop is owned by a very dishonest liar Gary. We dropped off my son's car to have a new fan put in ...quoted a price OUT THE door by Gary ..then his daughter called with a price $177 more . my husband paid it. Next day he went to pick up the car and Gary said"you really need some new tires on this vehicle" I can get you a deal...my husband had no idea what he was talking about his tires were not even 8months old.. Then they get out to his car and see Steel showing through completely bald two front tires! Not even the brand he had purchased! The no good scumbag stole my 16 year olds tires and then tried to make more money off of us! Do not go there! Do not trust him!

This was the most bizarre experience since graduating from college some 35 years ago. This car had the same exact tire brand and size front and back. All we did was inform the customer of a tire problem that existed and mention that it was unsafe. On the original writeup technician had several notes about condition of tires. When I did a walk around with customer to show him, the wheels had so much brake dust on them that they looked black. The wheels had no signs of ever being removed from car. So, not sure how tires had so much wear on them. Maybe there 16 year old kid (driver of the car) was having more fun in the car than parents knew of. Not sure.

I have been going to see Gary and his team at G2 for a few years now. I am a loyal customer because of the car care and the customer service that I have received. They treat you like family and they always, always give you the best service for your vehicle. Pricing is extremely reasonable and repair service is top notch. I never have to worry and I never have to second guess. I also love that the team accommodates to your schedule, always willing to go the extra step to make sure you get your vehicle on time. I am very pleased and these are my people.
Thank you Gary and your entire crew!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - M D.Alpharetta, GA135Aug 3, 2017
Took my car for oil change. Got a call about 30 mins later that my drive belt and pulleys needed to be changed and it was in such a bad shape that it could snap at any moment. It was going to cost me $270 (parts) + $240 (labor) minus 10% coupon. As I was in the middle of work I couldn't do additional research and so asked him to go ahead. After a few hours I started digging around and found that I may have been grossly overcharged. The belt kit (ADK0022P) made by Continental that he used (part # as mentioned in the the invoice he gave me) costs ONLY $96 in Amazon whereas I was charged $274 !!! I understand that his prices may be a little higher but 300% of Amazon price !!!
I then looked at repairpal.com to get some estimates of labor costs and it showed typical cost in this area is between $105-$134 and I was charged $240.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Scott T.Suwanee, GA715442Jul 23, 2017Updated review
Be very suspicious of the "positive" reviews that are popping up for this very dishonest merchant. Check the reviewers' history before you believe them. I have a sneaking suspicion that many of these reviews are shills intended to hide the truth about the dishonest nature of this company. Blake K, for example, was the FIRST TO REVIEW, and G2 is his ONLY review. Does anybody else find that to be suspicious?
In any case, I have personal experience with G2/Godwin that leads me to totally believe that Maile K's allegation that G2/Godwin STOLE HER TIRES is the truth.
and...disregard Godwin's dishonest claim in his comment that I "never paid my bills." I think that Godwin received more than $10,000 from my insurance company for work on the M3. Many of his charges - ALL FOR WHICH HE WAS PAID - were for UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS.
The fact is...I brought my vehicle to Godwin several times over a few years under a third-party extended warranty plan. This is how I became suspicious that my car was being sabotaged to create extra work. If the bills weren't being paid, why would he have continued to work on the vehicle and making up "repairs" to charge the warranty company? His false claim in his comment of "...not getting paid..." PROVES Godwin's dishonesty.
When Godwin destroyed my transmission - to the tune of $3,500 repair ELSEWHERE - was when I refused to pay Godwin's ripoff balance of $1,500 ON TOP OF THE $2,000 I HAD ALREADY PAID him for a JOB THAT HE QUOTED AT $900. Remember...the M3 was functioning virtually perfectly when it was left with Godwin for a 3-day flywheel truing. Godwin KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR 6 MONTHS trying to repair the transmission that HE DESTROYED. Ultimately, after getting paid $2,000 (for a $900 job), he wanted me to pay him an additional $1,500 for the vehicle that NO LONGER FUNCTIONED because HE DESTROYED THE TRANSMISSION.
His continued lies just piss me off. He should just shut up and stop commenting on the posts.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

we service over 1200 customers in the local area and take a lot of pride in have repeat business. unfortunately this particular customer chooses to tell partial truths and will not accept the truth. he has also failed pay any of his bills.
Aug 17, 2013Previous reviewG2 "Godwin" held my car hostage for NEARLY SIX MONTHS, for a minor job that I was told would take "3 days."
Several other people I have spoken to - one from nearby Butler Tire - have had similar experiences.
I drove my M3 into G2's shop in early October 2012. The vehicle was running fine. There was only a small intermittent stutter in first gear that went away once the car was warmed up. If I weren't such a perfectionist, I wouldn't have bothered to get this fixed. In fact, this minor problem had existed since I bought the car in 2009. I knew that it was a slightly warped flywheel, and I wanted to finally get it fixed before my warranty term expired the following February.
G2 quoted the job at $900. I told him to go ahead. One week later, I returned - as scheduled - to pick up the vehicle; only to discover that G2 had billed me more than $2000 for additional work which HAD NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED - or even communicated to me. And HERE'S THE WORST PART: NOW THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE.
G2 had allowed the owner's son - who is not qualified, and who admitted to me, himself several months later that "I don't even work on my own M5. I bring it to a shop on the other side of town." While G2's unqualified "technician" was working on a simple flywheel job, he destroyed the transmission in my M3.
Over the ensuing FIVE MONTHS, G2 refused to repair the vehicle, stating that "the transmission failed, and we aren't paying for it." We tried to get the warranty company to cover the repairs, but the warranty company had previous reports of problems with G2, and requested that the vehicle be moved to a certified BMW repair facility. At that point, I made a huge mistake in allowing G2 the opportunity to repair the damage he had created. I should have moved the vehicle immediately, as had been recommended by the warranty company.
Fast forward to March 2013...After being without a vehicle for nearly 6 months, I finally told G2 I was flat-bedding the vehicle away to have it repaired by a qualified shop. At which time G2 told me, "Oh...no...we've got it repaired, and it will be done this afternoon." I waited, only to be told three days later..."It's not quite finished. Another day or two."
When I returned two days later to inform G2 I was taking the vehicle, they told me "it will be finished today." I returned later that day, and G2 told me "It's ready."
G2's alleged "technician" and I got in the car to test-drive it around the surface streets near the shop. It seemed fine. I thought everything would be fine.
When I returned to the shop to drop off the technician, G2 tried to charge me another $1,500 to pay for repairing the damage THAT THEIR 'TECHNICIAN' HAD CREATED. When I refused to pay, G2 said they wouldn't let me take the vehicle off the property unless I paid. I finally gave in and paid the ransom money, hoping to finally just cut my losses.
On the way home from the shop, I had the opportunity to "open it up." As soon as I punched the pedal down, the EML light went on, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, and the car stalled. This happened every time I tried to accelerate.
Oh...and...THE TRANSMISSION WAS AGAIN FAILING TO SHIFT.
So...NOW I HAVE A FAILED TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE THROTTLE CONTROL FAILURE.
I immediately called G2. No answer...I left a voicemail. No return call.
Two days later, I limped the vehicle back to G2's shop. The owner, Godwin, wasn't there, and neither was his son, the "technician," so I told his staff to have Godwin call me.
After not hearing back from G2, after another week, I limped the M3 to the shop that Godwin's son ("technician") uses. After $3,500 additional costs and about one week, my M3 now runs exactly like it did when I drove it into G2's shop six months previously. This other shop informed me that much of the work that G2 had allegedly performed, "could not have been performed. The parts show clear evidence that they were not repaired or replaced," as claimed.
Needless to say, I notified my credit card company of G2's fraudulent practices, and they initiated a chargeback. Only after G2 was informed of the chargeback, did Godwin try to contact me. NOT TO OFFER TO REPAIR, BUT TO TRY TO COLLECT HIS MONEY!! What a stupid DICK!
I have also filed civil litigation against G2, Godwin, and Highline Financial," all of which are aliases for the same business.
I do not want to call G2 a bunch of 'crooks' or "Sabotageurs," as some of my friends call them. But suffice it to say that each of the four times I had brought this vehicle to G2 for minor things (e.g. Oil change, installation/balance of tires, flywheel repair, etc.) THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING ELSE MAJOR THAT WENT WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS IN THEIR "CARE" AND CONTROL, OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER: Major oil leaks, alternator failure, etc. In all cases, Godwin "repaired" those "problems" without first communicating to me or receiving authorization to do so.
DON'T BE A VICTIM!
