Our Own Jerry Fountain attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the the Historic Clarkdale Park Community Center. Cobb County wished to rebuild the burned community center matching the historic elements and making it ADA accessible, we were honored to be selected to provide Architectural and Engineering Services to this 2,600 s.f. facility that is the "heart" of the Community Center that was burned down in 2017. We look forward to keep serving Cobb County and it's residents! #39YearsOfExcellence #buildingcommunities #architecturedesign Lisa Cupid JD/MPA

We believe in team building activities that help our team see each other in a different light and allow them to connect in a different setting. Last Night, our team enjoyed our Annual Christmas Dinner and had a great time at an evening full with surprises, we started the evening with wine 🍷 and cheese 🧀 at Vinings Gallery in historic Roswell, what a wonderful time our team had browsing a rich portfolio of famous artists exhibited, followed by dinner at the relaxed, 1920’s era-inspired classic steakhouse Little Alley Steak, terrific time had by all! Project Feature Aurora Theatre - Performing Arts Center #AdaptiveReuse Major Addition & Renovations Breathing New Life into an Old Building: When designing for the future, we must begin with our existing cities; many cities are home to abandoned buildings. Lawrenceville, the second oldest city in the metropolitan Atlanta area, is known for its beautiful arts and culture. In the heart of this city adjacent to the courthouse square is the Aurora Theatre, a unique specimen of architecture (it was once a turn-of-the-century church). Foreman Seeley Fountain Architecture was commissioned by the City of Lawrenceville to revitalize the site into a #PerformingArtsCenter. The city wanted to celebrate the unique texture and history of the building while also creating a unified new public space as part of an overall downtown revitalization effort that included the construction of much needed parking deck, new restaurants, retail shops and other businesses. #FSFA proposed the creation of a new addition while preserving the old church to host an impressive grand lobby, with plenty of room for a full house to mingle during intermissions, administrative offices, rehearsal areas, meeting rooms, classroom space, and a 100-seat studio theatre, FSFA injected new life into the old structure. The new 18,000 sf addition that houses the new 250-seat theater stage finds itself in a unique historical context adjacent to the courthouse square and the original old church building, a key aspect of the design involved making the new addition blending in with the surroundings, the design was born from a desire to seamlessly integrate into the existing fabric of the neighborhood and to contribute to the urban environment. FSFA accentuated the beauty of the original Methodist church, elements like the Corinthian columns and bead board ceilings were repaired and accentuate the grand lobby, original exposed brick and beams remain lending character and charm to the new offices. FSFA created an architecture design that reflects the city's historic character, flavor, and charm, and sets the mood for patrons the minute they walk through the main entrance capturing the imagination of the cultural arts community in Gwinnett County. With many awards that recognize the ingenuity and vision FSFA brought to this project. Today the Aurora Theater is an Architectural triumph that maintains a sturdy appearance signifying grandeur. #Awards o Georgia Downtown Assoc. 1st Place – Sensitive Rehab. o Georgia Build Awards – 1st Place overall & 1st place Sustainable Design o Southeast Brick Association – Honorable Mention o 2008 Gwinnett Venue of the Year. #Team -Principal Architect I Jeffery Seeley -Interior Design I Jan Wynn, M.Ed., LEED AP Registered Interior Designer -Contractor I Lusk Commercial Contractors, Inc. -Photographer I Jeffery Seeley #architecture #adaptivereuse #BuildingDreamsShapingTheFuture
