Event Description: Exchange Club is making a landing in Cumming! Join us on November 19th at 6:00 pm for an informational session. Gus Parker---past National Exchange Club President will be our keynote speaker. Mr. Parker and other Exchange Club members will explain the positive impact Exchange Club will have on Cumming/Forsyth through its unique programs of service. Please join us for a light meal. Its programs of service include: Americanism -- Proudly We Hail (to inspire respect and love of country); -- One Nation Under God (appreciation of our rich religious heritage); -- GIVEAKIDAFLAGTOWAVE (yes it is a word---Give a kid a flag to wave) (cultivates deeper sense of patriotism); -- The Freedom Shrine (collection of important, historic documents); -- Get Out The Vote (encourages all Americans to vote). Community Service -- Crime Prevention (recognized by the National Crime Prevention Council); -- Fire Prevention (identify and eliminate potential fire hazards); -- Service to Seniors (programs to assist older Americans); -- The Book of Golden Deeds (honoring those who serve others). Service to Youth -- Youth of Month/Year Award (scholastic, community, leadership); -- Achieve the Challenge of Excellence (Students facing adversity); -- Young Citizenship Award (good citizenship at school and at home); -- Excel Clubs (HS students improving school, community & country). Child Abuse Prevention -- working to break the cycle of child abuse; -- more than 120 centers nationwide utilizing volunteer parent-aides; -- 200,000 children and 150,000 families aided since 1979.


Directions:
Please park in the event facility lot, located off W. Maple St. If lot is full, please feel free to park on the lawn on either side of the events facility.
