Event Description: Boulder Dash 5k at Lafarge Quarry ha been postponed until the spring. Please check back for more details as we continue to build this terrific community event. Sponsored by Lafarge, Northside Hospital-Forsyth, and Northeast Georgia Heart Center, this is a 5k run/walk as you have never imagined. As one of only 2 races in the US that take place in a quarry-this is a unique experience that allows you to race or walk through an environmentally responsible, operational hard rock quarry. See the working quarry face, the ancient rock deposits, the massive equipment that processes it, and the natural surroundings, as you take the challenge of the Boulder Dash 5k. Featuring a T-shirt design contest, awards for Fastest Team, Fastest HOA, Fastest Physician, and many more ….this event will attract corporate sponsored teams and individuals from Forsyth and surrounding counties
