Event Description: Performances by popular north Georgia bluegrass bands the Hoyles, the Musselwhite Family and Highway 362 highlight the music portion of the Memphis Barbecue Network-sanctioned barbecue cooking championship on the picturesque campus of Brenau University. The $5 ticket price for the SouthEastern Bluegrass Association festival includes admission to the barbecue competition, which showcases both professionals vying for a shot at the Memphis in May championship and “backyard braggart” cooking teams. Proceeds benefit local scholarship recipients at Brenau University.
