Event Description: All are invited to attend this free event - to meet Northside's medical staff and learn about the hospital's wide range of programs and services. Expo attendees will get the most up-to-date information about the clinical resources and experts available at Northside Hospital-Forsyth including the hospital's new Cardiac Cath Lab, the Heartburn Center, Women's Services and much more. Activities will include: • Informational booths for many of Northside's programs and services • Tours of the new Women's Center, which has been the birthplace to nearly 900 babies since it opened Aug. 6, 2008 • Test drives with the da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System, used for prostate, general and GYN laparoscopic procedures • Meet 'n greets with many of Northside's physicians "Northside Hospital-Forsyth is excited to host this entertaining and informational event and we appreciate the opportunity to have our friends and neighbors visit us,” said Lynn Jackson, administrator, Northside Hospital-Forsyth. "The Family Health Expo will be fun for the whole family. While the children enjoy the moon walks, face painting and visiting with Northside's mascot, "Sammy Stork,” mom and dad can learn more about the health services that are available to them, close to home and for a lifetime of care, at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.” A free community stroke screening also will be available at the Expo to determine risk for stroke, heart disease and diabetes. The comprehensive screenings will include a risk assessment, blood pressure reading, total cholesterol (HDL, ratio of TC/HDL), glucose, a limited number of carotid ultrasounds and a one-on-one consultation with a healthcare professional. The Family Health Expo is a free event and is open to everyone.
