Due to the overwhelming response and positive feedback from our previous FMLA webinars, Fisher & Phillips LLP is presenting this free webinar again to help employers understand new regulations interpreting the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). These are the first significant changes to the regulations since FMLA's "final" regulations were issued in 1995 and will affect every employer subject to the law. These changes became effective on January 16, 2009 and employers are expected to comply immediately.

The Department of Labor (DOL) published 762 pages that include regulations implementing two new forms of military family leave created earlier this year. The new regulations include minor tweaks, major adjustments and wholesale changes to original sections of the FMLA regulations. The result is a mixed bag for employers.

The DOL gave employers only 60 days to implement and comply with the new rules. This webinar will provide an overview of the more significant changes to the regulations and steps towards compliance in managing FMLA leave and the law's required forms.
