Event Description: During times of economic and financial challenges, we all need to ask ourselves, "Crisis or Opportunity?" This workshop presented by Steve Bloom of SCORE, will provide insight into "Keys to Success" and how to secure financing when banks are saying NO. The discussion focuses on the necessary qualities and personal traits required for starting a business, the steps required to achieve success and take your company to the next level and insights into why banks say NO, but how you can still obtain funds or reduce the amount of money needed by "thinking outside of the box!" Learn the most effective way to obtain Small Business Administration (SBA) Guaranteed Loans, including a review of the bank decision and underwriting process. How loan and venture investor decisions are made -- what crucial questions you must answer, including the importance of credit reports. Business plan preparation review and discussion of what yours must contain to facilitate positive funding decisions. Tapping non-traditional funding sources including: Angel Investors, Seed Capital, Venture Capital, factoring, vendor and user financing, leasing, merchant banking. Event will be March 4, from 11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Chamber’s events facility. Please park in the events facility lot, located off W.
