Event Description: We are offering an 8 hour (2 day) Concealed Carry Course for those wanting an in-depth workshop on the subject SATURDAY & SUNDAY , JUNE 28th & 29th, 2014. The state of Georgia does not require training in order to be issued a GA Weapons License but if you have one or intend to get one and feel that as a responsible person you should seek out training, this course might just be what you're looking for. We'll be doing this course a few times a year and will limit the number of students to ensure both safety and individual attention. This intense course spanning two days will cover advanced shooting techniques relevant to carrying a concealed firearm including equipment selection, drawing from concealment, the speed & tactical reload, clearing of stoppages, use of cover and shooting from high and low barricaded positions, standing - kneeling - squatting shooting positions, 90 and 180 degree movement while shooting, and conclude with a low light shooting segment. This course also includes a block of instruction on Georgia laws specific to ownership, transport and use of firearms as well as the use of force for the defense of self and habitation. During this segment we will address the issues & situations possibly facing the individual after a defensive shooting incident has occurred. The relevant laws / code sections will come straight out of the current Official Code of Georgia Annotated and the course will be managed and taught by a Georgia POST certified Law Enforcement Officer and firearms instructor. This is NOT a fundamentals class. You must be familiar with your chosen firearm platform for the course and have a solid holster system and backup magazine and/or ammunition holder. A wide sampling of holster types will be made available with firearms matched to them for those students interested in trying new or alternate concealed methods such as ankle, purse, IWB, OWB, shoulder and fanny pack carry. The round count for this class will be 200 minimum. Ammunition will be available for purchase on site. Tuition cost is $325 including range fees and student materials.
