Event Description: Learn about the snakes found in the park and metropolitan Atlanta area from ranger Jerry Hightower. Jerry will share personal experiences and a wealth of information gained from nearly a half century of investigating the fields, forests, streams, and swamps of our Chattahoochee River corridor. Discover fascinating facts and fables about the snakes you find in the park and your own backyard. After a brief discussion of the snakes of the area, Jerry will show several live snakes, courtesy of the Chattahoochee Nature Center, that are commonly found in the area. This is a program that the entire family will enjoy. Bring your curiosity and questions! Reservations are required; please call 678-538-1200 to make your reservation, space is limited!
