$50,000 for in support of arts that benefit Forsyth County residents are available for 2012 through the Forsyth County Arts Alliance. Nonprofit and governmental organizations that “enrich the quality of life in Cumming-Forsyth County by connecting people to the arts” are encouraged to apply.

Applications for funding are due on May 25, 2012, with funds available in July, 2012.  Interested organizations may access the application form and guidelines online at www.ForsythArtsAlliance.com. 

Additionally, the Alliance will provide a free workshop with further instructions on applying for these funds and for other grant funding in the arts:

Letters of intent to apply for grants are due by April 27, 2012.

The Alliance was created by proceeds from the sale of the Sawnee Arts Center.  These funds have been placed in an endowment with the North Georgia Community Foundation.  A local Board of Directors, representing business and community leadership, is responsible for stewardship and making recommendations for any distribution of funds.
