Event Description: 2nd Annual Miss Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton Forestry Pageant March 18th 2012 Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County Forestry Pageant to be held March 18th 2012. Dadrienne Belisle and Heidi Ballog have been appointed the Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County Forestry Scholarship Pageant Director's for Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County by the Georgia Forestry Pageant and Educational Association, Inc. The Pageant will be held in Forsyth County at the Lake View Center, Dawsonville GA. The Georgia Forestry pageant is the oldest scholarship Pageant in the State of Georgia going on the 73rd year. The winners of Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County Forestry pageant will receive their entry fees paid to the 72nd Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant to represent Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County. The County Queens are treated like true royalty at the Miss Georgia Forestry State Pageant. The girls participate in a parade with their county and title on their car, they are treated to cookouts, tree farm tours, and many more events. This year a formal ball will be held for the Teen and Miss contestants. The Miss Georgia Forestry receives besides the scholarship, the official Miss Georgia Forestry crown, rhinestone studded banner, official Miss Georgia Forestry pin, official Miss Georgia Forestry diamond and emerald ring, silver engraved tray, flowers, scholarships, bicycles, stereos, gifts totaling over $2,000.00 and their picture and interviewed by five national magazines. The Miss Georgia Forestry Queens have the opportunity to ride on the Georgia Forestry float serving as Ambassadors to the Georgia Forestry Industry. The Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant was started in 1940 to offer educational opportunities to young ladies while promoting Georgia’s Number One Industry, Forestry. The Miss Georgia Forestry Contestants will also have the opportunity to advance to the Miss US National Forestry Pageant. The Dawson/Forsyth County Queens will be responsible for promoting Forestry for Dawson/Forsyth County. The pageant will be open to young ladies ages birth to 24 years. The pageant is open to all surrounding counties. This includes:Dade County, Catoosa County, Whitfield County, Murray County, Fannin County, Gilmer County, Chatooga County, Gordon County, Pickens County, Lumpkin County, *Dawson County, *Forsyth County, Floyd County, Bartow County, Cherokee County, Polk County, Paulding County, Cobb County, *Gwinnett County, Haralson County, Paulding County,, Dekalb County, Carol County, Douglas County, Fulton County, Heard County, Coweta County, Fayette County, Clayton County, Henry County, Butts County, Spalding County, Newton County, Jasper County, Union County, White County, and Hall County. The younger girls are judged a 1 to 20 on poise, beauty, gown, personality, and overall appearance. The teen and Miss are judged on interview, public speaking and evening gown. Dawson Forestry Comission will make be present at the pageant and Smokey Bear will help crown our 2nd Miss Dawson/Forsyth/Fulton County Forestry Queens.
