Event Description: North Georgia College & State University invites community members interested in international affairs to participate in Great Decisions, an annual discussion program produced by the Foreign Policy Association. You are receiving this e-mail because you attended one or more sessions of our previous Great Decisions lecture series and we cordially invite you to be a part of this year's series. The series offers participants the opportunity to explore global issues impacting our economy and world politics with the university’s expert faculty members. Participation is free and no registration is required. Please note that the scheduled days have changed for this year's series, as has the Forsyth County location. The eight-week series starts Jan. 23 with sessions at the Gainesville Civic Center on Mondays and at the Cumming Library in Forsyth County on Thursdays. Middle East realignment with Dr. Victoria Hightower, assistant professor of history Each session will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will begin with a presentation by the faculty member representing that night’s topic, followed by a question-and-answer period. Briefing books providing in-depth articles about each of the topics may be ordered online or purchased at the sessions, but are not required for participation.
