Event Description: Mia’s Pizza and Eats of Cumming, Georgia will donate 100% of its dessert sales to UNICEF’s relief efforts in Japan. The fundraiser will take place on April 5th AND 7th, all day. Mia’s seeks to raise funds to enable UNICEF to provide for the unique needs of children in Japan. The owners commented that Mia’s chose UNICEF for several reasons, “…the biggest being our love and devotion to our own child. As parents, the disaster in Japan struck us so deeply, and it was particularly poignant to us that Japanese children begin their school year in April. We wanted to do something to help them regain their normal routines, and we knew UNICEF would be a trusted and worthwhile charity to support. They do work all over the world, specifically for children who survive natural and man-made disasters.” Mia’s plans to make all types of desserts including cheesecakes, Oreo ice cream cake, cannoli, ice cream sundaes, and dessert pizzas. Mia's is located in the heart of the business district in Cumming, Georgia. From 400, take exit 14. Go east on Buford Highway, then turn left onto Market Place Boulevard. We are in the first shopping center on the left in the far end suite, directly across from Bruster's and in front of Lowe's.
