Are you a professional involved in crime scene investigation and law enforcement? Or just a big fan of Patricia Cornwell novels and television shows like "CSI," "Law and Order," and other police procedurals? The 2011 Forensics Symposium at North Georgia College & State University, set for March 14-15 in Dahlonega, will focus on crime scene processing.
The symposium, this year called "Forensic Examination and Crime Scene Processing: Tools for the Investigator at the Scene & in the Field," is in its fourth year. Presenters include experts in the fields of firearms, explosives, DNA, crime scene photography, latent prints and post-mortem examination of human remains.
The registration fee for the symposium is $295 per person and is open to anyone, not just law enforcement personnel. A special rate is available for Georgia POST-certified law enforcement officers and North Georgia students. Full details of the forensic symposium are available by phone at 706-864-1918 or online.
