Can the REC Help Your Practice?
The
Mission
of the
Georgia
Healthcare
Information
Technology
Regional
Extension
Center
(GA-HITREC) is to use a community-oriented approach to assist
Georgia
’s providers with the selection, successful implementation, and meaningful use of certified EHR systems to improve clinical outcomes and quality of care provided to their patients. GA-HITREC will achieve its mission through education, outreach, and technical assistance to over 5,000 providers around the state, offering the necessary expertise and tools for successfully implementing EHR in a meaningful way.
With plans to provide a group purchasing agreement and technical staff, GA-HITREC will support providers from selection, installation, and implementation to achievement of meaningful use. Practices already utilizing an EHR will receive technical assistance to include a gap analysis and direction in achieving meaningful use.
Join us in a review of the current GA-HITREC plans, and learn about the services that will be available, how these services can impact your practice, and how you can participate to receive this support.
Liz Hansen
, Communications Chair of the Georgia Chapter of the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), will provide an overview of the services and resulting benefits that will soon be available to your practice.
