Event Description: Smart Growth Forsyth County will be holding its January meeting at the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce Event Facility located at 513 West Maple Street, Cumming, 30040 on Tuesday the 19th beginning at 715pm. Please visit our website at www.smartgrowth-forsyth.org for information regarding SGFC and to find out how you can get involved with a group that is interested in seeing a Forsyth County that: Is pro-active in planning and implementing long term, sustainable growth that is responsive and accountable to its citizens; Views each proposed development in the context of the county master plan/overlay and its impact to the county as a whole; Balances the protection of the environment, the maintenance of community green-space, and the public health, welfare and safety with residential and commercial development; Ensures that infrastructure is developed and emplaced prior to planned residential and commercial development.
