Event Description: John Harris’ “Mr. Tuck and the 13 Heroes is a true story of Gwinnett native Brooks Tuck, who was the principal of the first school in Henry County to be integrated. The story reveals how a heroic school leader and some brave children helped to stem the tide of racial injustice.” After the Gwinnett County 2017 Martin Luther King Day Parade, join Gwinnett County Public Library and the United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc. for a book discussion and signing with author John Harris and illustrator Sophie Harris. This event will take place on Monday, January 16 at 2:00pm at Moore Middle School, 1221 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is limited.
